Polaris Slingshot Waiver
This waiver is required for all Polaris Slingshot rentals. Please read the following terms and conditions carefully before signing.
1. Driver Qualification Requirements
- Age Requirement: Renter and any authorized additional drivers must be at least 21 years of age (or 25, subject to insurance carrier requirements).
- Valid Driver's License: Renter must possess and present a valid, unexpired driver's license with standard motorcycle or state-required endorsements as applicable by law.
- Driving Record: Renter warrants that they have no severe traffic violations or drug/alcohol-related driving offenses within the past three (3) years.
2. Damage, Insurance & Liability Terms
- Physical Damage & Loss Liability: Renter assumes full financial liability for any and all loss, physical damage, theft, vandalism, collision, or mechanical damage occurring to the vehicle during the rental period. This includes repair costs, loss of vehicle use/rental income during repair time, diminished value, towing, impound, and reasonable administrative fees.
- Security Deposit Application: The $250.00 security deposit will be held upon execution of this Agreement. It will be applied directly toward any damages, repair costs, missing accessories/gear, unpaid rental fees, excessive cleaning fees, or fuel charges upon return. If repair or damage costs exceed $250.00, Renter remains fully responsible and personally liable for the remaining balance. If no damages or additional charges are assessed, the $250.00 deposit will be refunded in full within 48 hours of vehicle inspection upon return.
- Insurance Coverage: Renter must maintain active auto liability and comprehensive/collision insurance that extends coverage to rental or temporary replacement vehicles, or purchase an approved commercial rental binder prior to vehicle release. Renter's personal auto policy shall act as primary insurance.
- Indemnification & Liability Release: Renter agrees to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Ocean State I & E Rentals LLC, its members, owners, agents, and employees from any and all claims, lawsuits, demands, liabilities, costs, medical expenses, or attorney fees arising out of the possession, use, operation, or driving of the vehicle during the rental term.

4. Safety Gear & Helmets
Renter and passengers must comply with all Rhode Island laws and safety regulations regarding helmet and eye protection usage.
5. Prohibited Uses
- Driving under the influence of alcohol, cannabis, medication, or controlled substances.
- Racing, speed testing, stunt driving, burnout maneuvers, or off-road operation.
- Allowing unauthorized or unapproved drivers to operate the vehicle.
- Subleasing, renting out, or transferring possession of the vehicle to any third party.
- Towing, pushing, or hauling heavy freight or trailers.
6. Geographic Limits
Operation is restricted to public paved roads within designated state/regional limits unless prior written consent is granted by Owner.
7. Pre-Trip Inspection & Vehicle Condition
Prior to departure, Owner and Renter shall complete a joint inspection of the vehicle to document current condition, fuel level, and odometer reading.
2. ASSUMPTION OF RISK
Renter understands and acknowledges that operating a Polaris Slingshot involves inherent risks, including the risk of serious injury or death.
Renter voluntarily assumes all risks associated with the rental and use of the vehicle, including risks resulting from:
- road conditions
- weather
- the actions of other drivers
3. LIABILITY WAIVER
Renter, on behalf of themselves and their heirs, hereby releases and discharges OceanStateI&E Rentals, its owners, employees, and agents from any and all claims, demands, or causes of action arising out of the rental, use, or operation of the Polaris Slingshot, including claims for property damage or personal injury.
4. FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY:
Renter agrees to be fully responsible for any damage to the vehicle during the rental period, regardless of fault.
Renter agrees that their credit card on file may be charged for any:
• Necessary repairs
• Cleaning fees
• Loss of use charges incurred as a result of the rental.
